Documents are usually wire bound in A4 or A5 sizes.
Wire binding is an extremely cost efficient way of binding professional manuals or reference materials.
The advantages of wire binding are that the pages within a booklet will have the ability to turn in complete 360 degree rotation and will lay flat on surfaces.
This provides ease of reading, for example with training or technical manuals, where ‘lay flat’ characteristics are essential. Photocopying (where copyright allows) also becomes simple.
